What is L-isoleucine?
Isoleucine is one of the essential amino acids that cannot be made by the body. It is renowned for its ability to enhance endurance and assist in the repair and rebuilding of muscle tissue.
As one of the nine essential amino acids in humans, it is critical for the production and formation of hemoglobin and red blood cells. This makes it an important amino acid in the recovery process from blood loss or anemia.
Furthermore, it is a key member of the Branched-Chain Amino Acids (BCAA) group, along with Leucine and Valine. These are vital for physiological stress responses, energy production, and normal muscle metabolism. BCAAs are popular among bodybuilders as they help reduce muscle loss and accelerate recovery.
